If you face load shedding, choose hybrid: it gives you battery backup and still lowers your bill. On-grid is cheaper and suits homes with reliable supply that only want to cut the bill. Under the 2026 net billing rules, hybrid usually gives better savings because you use more of your own solar.
It depends on what you run and the battery size. A 5.12 kWh lithium battery keeps fans, lights, fridge and TV (about 1 kW) running for around 4 to 5 hours. Adding an inverter AC needs a bigger battery. Our calculator shows the battery size for the hours you choose.
No. We use raised steel or aluminium structures bolted to the roof with waterproofing, so the roof stays usable underneath for water tanks, drying clothes or shade.
Yes. We can size the inverter so you can add panels or batteries later. Tell us your plans during the site survey.
